The Rinnai whole-house tankless hot water creates an endless supply of fresh hot water for everything that makes your house a home – bathing, cooking, dishes and laundry.
Save additional money with the applicable tax incentives outlined in the recently passed Stimulus bill, which extend the existing tax credit for energy-efficient tankless water heaters through 2010. Credits have increased from $300 to 30% of the full purchase and installation price of the unit up to a maximum of $1,500. Since The Waterworks’ whole-home gas tankless water heater has an energy factor (EF) of at least 0.82, you are eligible to take advantage of the tax credit. Unlike a tax deduction, which lowers an individual’s taxable income, a tax credit reduces the tax paid dollar-for-dollar and therefore generally is more valuable.
In order to claim the tax credit, your qualifying tankless water heater must be installed between Jan. 1, 2009 and Dec. 31, 2010. The Waterworks will provide you with a proof of purchase and a copy of the Manufacturer’s Certification Statement. You should then file IRS Form 5695 with your 2009 or 2010 taxes. You may wish to consult a tax professional for further details or guidance.
